The new frontier of nature tourism is in the heart of the Po Delta. To be more precise, in the Sacca di Scardovari lagoon basin, separated from the sea by narrow ribbons of land and sandy beaches. There, as if by magic, lies one of the most fascinating landscapes of the Po Delta Veneto Regional Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve.
There where the levee is poetically punctuated by the “cavane” traditional wooden fishermen’s boathouses suspended between water and sky. Built on stilts in a privileged position offering both a breath-taking view and a chance to enjoy a full-immersion experience in unspoilt nature, these traditional structures were the inspiration for a project to reinvent the green holiday and make the Isaholidays offer even more packed with emotions.
 
The project is, in fact, the conceptual evolution of the Barricata holiday village, dedicated to the traditional local spontaneous architecture, with construction of 53 “cavane” offering holiday accommodation in the stretch of lagoon directly connected to the sea between the “Spiaggia delle Conchiglie” and “Punta Garbin”.
 
The decision stems from our desire to offer eco-sustainable hospitality with exclusive charm, combining enhancement of the values of this unique territory with the emotions of experiencing an extraordinary magic at first hand. A regenerating space-time “suspension”, a small private corner of paradise with all comforts to alleviate every stress, an effective cure-all for body and soul. Not only peace, relaxation, quiet contemplation and sunbathing in a fairy-tale atmosphere, but also heaps of adventure and healthy exercise.
On request, a small motorboat can be provided to each cavana so the occupants can “cast off” to discover the infinite wonders of this precious natural area. Nothing can quite match navigating across the surface of the water in a very special environment where fresh and salt water meet and mingle to bring an unparalleled ecosystem to life.
 
Exploring an unspoilt river and lagoon landscape amongst thick reed beds, sun drenched beaches and mussel and clam farms, admiring the water birds that nest here, such as the elegant purple herons, fascinating black-winged stilts and oystercatchers with their unmistakable black and white plumage. Letting yourself be enraptured by sunsets that set the boundless horizon on fire, then gently fade into a mirror of water reflecting all the beauty of a timeless world.
